ENGINEER: PROCESS AUTOMATION

LOCATION : WINDHOEK
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Ensuring the reliability and availability of all process automation systems and equipment the Packaging department. Responsible to propose and implement new trends and innovations for continuous improvement and sustainability.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor Degree
  • N6 (Trade Test) Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering. At least 8 years’ experience (electrical technician & automation) in a FMCG production plant of which at least 2 should have been in a supervisory role. Experience in process engineering is essential.
  • Experienced in Siemens S7 programming, troubleshooting and electrical scoping, installation, fault finding, repairs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Accountable for the automation spare parts and consumables required for the Packaging Departments.
  • Ensure the sustainability of Automation and electrical management systems Propose replacement of equipment and or upgrades for the yearly Capex budgets.
  • Implementation and execution of maintenance task on equipment and automation systems in packaging
  • Manage and support in problem solving and focused improvements in the packaging department
  • Increase level of automation and electrical skills and capability in packaging department
  • Manage Health Safety and Housekeeping within Automation.
  • Lead, coach and develop staff
