GROUP MANAGER: TALENT, LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of the position is to define the Strategic Talent Management priorities of the O&L Group that directly impact the priority business objectives and to realize the recommended Talent Strategies through various stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of Talent in the O&L Group of Companies in the long term.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management / Behavioural Science (Honours Industrial Psychology Organisational Psychology).
  • Five (5) years’ experience in a Human Capital environment of which at least 3 years should have been on Managerial/Specialist level.
  • Experience in Strategic Talent Assessment, Development and Reporting.
  • Experience in various other Human Resources Practices (Organisational Development, Performance Management, Learning and Development, Workforce Planning) will be regarded as an advantage.
  • Registered as a Psychometrist will be regarded as an advantage.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Present possible Talent Management strategies based on thorough research of the Namibian market and various Operating Companies business priorities.
  • Define, Develop and Review the general and functional competence needs of the O&L Group and various Operating Companies through engagement with various stakeholders.
  • Match internal candidates to Leadership & Critical positions based on competency requirements and competency assessment framework through engagement with various stakeholders.
  • Manage Talent Assessment, Development and Reviews of Succession readiness annually.
  • Manage and Report on annual Talent Reviews, Development and Succession Readiness.
  • Ensure Talent Attraction, Development, Retention and Reporting focused on the O&L Group business and people priorities.
  • Develop, manage and implement Learning and Development strategies based on the development of key skills in the O&L Group.
